Since its founding, ecobuilding AG has been committed to making real estate project development more sustainable and resource-efficient through innovative solutions and advanced technologies.
With our second sustainability report, we provide a comprehensive overview of our activities, achievements, and goals related to sustainability for the 2025 calendar and financial year. Under the guiding theme “Setting New Standards – Innovations for the Future,” this follow-up report outlines the sustainability initiatives we have launched and presents our sustainability goals and how they are integrated into the strategy of ecobuilding AG. Our commitment to sustainability runs through all areas and guides our daily actions at both the product and company levels.

We aim to shape a sustainable energy future by placing efficiency and environmental protection at the heart of our project planning. Following the principle of “saving before generating,” we integrate climate-friendly building structures, circular materials, and innovative façade systems as early as the planning phase to minimise energy consumption during development, construction, and operation.
With this approach to project planning, we address the ecological, social, and economic challenges of the industry. By not only meeting but exceeding ESG standards, we provide future-proof solutions. Our goal is to develop affordable, functional, and high-quality living spaces that enhance and sustainably preserve the quality of life of the residents, while also making a significant contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Nine Sustainability Topics: Our Missions
Nine of the 17 material topics are the focus of our 2025 Sustainability Report: six explain our sustainability activities on the product level, while three describe our sustainability efforts at the company level.
Renewable energies
We strive to achieve an emission free energy supply with renewable energies using technologies that are individually tailored to each project.
Embodied Carbon
We plan the use of climate-friendly materials and building constructions, incorporating existing structures whenever possible to reduce embodied emissions.
Prefabrication
We create the basis for future construction with prefabrication, reducing costs, time, and material resources through prefabrication of complex building components.
Circular economy
We focus on holistic planning to make a significant contribution to a circular economy and the real estate industry.
Resilience
We take future climate change scenarios into account in our planning approaches, enabling resilient buildings and quarters.
Mobility
We actively support and promote sustainable mobility behaviour among users through our project planning.
Reliable and resilient employer
We create sustainable structures in the company with an open, fair, and transparent human resources policy.
Climate-neutral company
We want to become climate-neutral in our business operations.
Compliance
We stand for strong company-wide compliance, in which rule-compliant behavior is a matter of course for all employees of the ecobuilding AG.
